What is massage therapy?

Massage Therapy uses gentle stretching, movement and soft tissue massage to treat a variety of conditions.

Massage Therapy can bring relief to pain caused by these conditions and gradually reduce muscle stiffness. Widely recognized as an effective means of treating soft tissue pain or disability, massage therapy as a preventative treatment can improve overall wellness.

  • Migraine headaches

Do I need massage therapy?

Massage Therapy has a wide range of benefits not limited to those experiencing pain, including relaxation, greater mobility and increased energy. Because the massage therapy uses gentle therapy and mobilization techniques, it is ideally suited for persons who may be experiencing pain or discomfort associated with a less active lifestyle.

What are the risks?

Massage Therapy provided by a registered therapist has very few risks, making it ideal for a large number of patients, young and old. Patients may experience temporary muscle soreness.

What should I expect?

The depth of massage desired is something that your massage therapist will discuss with you. Some patients request a gentle, light pressure that is soothing while others request a deeper massage for the therapeutic value. Pain is not necessary during your massage. Our registered massage therapists will make sure the pressure of your massage suits your needs.
